Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Dean of Undergraduate Admission, the Regional Admission Representative will have primary responsibility for implementation of all recruitment activities in the Milwaukee/Wisconsin region.

Responsibilities

Responsible to model the University’s Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission as a Catholic and Lasallian institution of higher education.

-Build a recruitment program and pipeline that will generate a minimum of 20+ new student enrollments from Wisconsin each year.
-Travel extensively to high schools and attend college fairs in this region. Strategically identify key high schools with the greatest potential for enrollment success for closer cultivation and attention.
-Build and cultivate strong relationships among the network of high school counselors and key influencers. Establish a high school counselor advisory board to provide counsel and ongoing advice to our efforts.
-Develop a focused communication plan for parents of prospective students highlighting the opportunities and advantages of Lewis to students from Wisconsin.
-Schedule home visits and personal appointments with prospective students and parents.
-Utilize social media, telecommunications and a high degree of personal contact to maintain and enhance a student’s level of interest in the University.
-Schedule off-campus recruitment programs within the region.
-Determine initial admission decisions for all applications received from this territory.
-Participate in major on-campus recruitment programs.
-Maintain accurate reports and records pertaining to high school visits, follow-up activities, alumni contacts and quarterly recruitment analysis.
-Execute responsibilities in an environment that provides a high level of autonomy while keeping supervisor informed of progress towards attainment of admission objectives.
-Serve on local, state or national committees, and/or present at local and state conferences to develop professional contacts and expand Lewis’s presence in these organizations.
-Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with three to five years of previous admission experience. Must live in Wisconsin and be able to work independently from home. Demonstrated commitment to the values associated with a private, Catholic university. Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to think strategically, to take initiative, exercise sound decision making and multi-task. Proven ability to establish priorities and manage time.
