Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

The Programmer Analyst will have responsibility to install, upgrade, and support Lewis University’s integration technologies in the Office of Technology. Individual will provide designs, development, testing, and support of integrations between internal and external systems leveraging the University’s ERP solution (Banner ® by Ellucian) and related tools within the Office of Technology. Individual will provide designs, development, testing, and support of workflow leveraging Banner ® Workflow module.

Responsibilities

Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

-Provide integration designs using various technical solutions based on system’s integration technologies.
-Develop integrations and work closely with system vendors.
-Create test plans, test scripts, sample data, and testing.
-Proactive support including root cause analysis troubleshooting and remediation. Work closely with the Office of Technology Service Desk, end users, and vendors during issue resolution.
-Participate and leverage integration technologies for various initiatives.
-Provide training and education to University constituents.
-Perform other functions for the Office of Technology as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree required.
-Understanding of integration technologies such as APIs, web services, workflows, SOA, enterprise service bus, and master data management (MDM).
-Experience with technical designs, of which contain data mapping and rules definition.
-Working knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
-Knowledge of development languages such as Java and C#.
-Hands on experience with web servers and application servers.
-Working experience with ETL technologies.
-Ability to work closely with all levels and departments within the University.
-Outstanding organizational and time management skills. Able to manage and prioritize multiple assignments.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Excellent team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience with Ellucian’s Banner 8/9 and Banner Workflow.
-Experience with Jitterbit® integration platform.
-Experience in high availability environments, methods, and tools.
-Experience in various software development lifecycle methodologies.
-Experience working in higher education environment.
