Job Description Summary

Tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Social Work

Responsibilities

Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, and respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

-Teach four classes per semester, primarily in the graduate program
-Assist in the development of the Social Work program accreditation reports
-Engage in scholarship, academic advising, and services to the university and community

Minimum Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Social Work. Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited school of social work. At least two years of full-time post-MSW employment in social work. Previous university/college teaching experience in social work at an accredited institution at the undergraduate and/or graduate level; experience at both levels is highly desirable. Clinical licensure in social work is required. A demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, social justice, and community engagement. Potential for scholarly productivity or professional impact in a clearly defined area of professional practice. Applicants should also have an ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning, the ability work collaboratively, evidence of scholarly activity.

Preferred Qualifications

Clinical work serving children and adolescents is preferred. Micro and/or macro practice experience is preferred.
