Job Description Summary

Full-time, non-tenure track, teaching position in Aviation Flight Management


Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, and respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

-Teach a total of 12 credit hours per semester at the undergraduate level.
-Advise undergraduate students on program progression and on academic success. The candidate will also advise undergraduate students on professional development.
-Required to gain Lewis University certification and online training utilizing the Blackboard technology delivery system.
-Actively participate in department meetings, student advising, professional and scholarly pursuits, and other duties as assigned by the Department Chair(s).

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in aviation and a minimum of four years’ experience in aviation systems in general, corporate, military, or airline aviation flight programs. Candidate must be able to stay abreast of current industry trends and developing aerospace technologies. Candidate must also possess FAA certifications including an FAA Advanced Ground Instructor Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidate should possess a Master’s degree, a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate, an Air Transport Pilot Certificate, or other credentials pertinent to aviation flight training.
